Music as Activism

This was a one-time workshop on music as activism. Concretely the workshops had two parts: first, a presentation on artivism and music as activism, listening to different songs as examples and discussing what makes them activist and how music can be used for activism and in a political context.  Second, the participants wrote a song together: Sitting in groups they wrote lyrics for at least one verse each, resulting in multiple verses that were put together to form a song. We sang base the song on the melody of an existing song to make it easier to get started.
