Rethink Activism Festival

Rethinking Activism Festival is made of workshops and a happening which lasted for 3 days in September 2017 regarding activism in the city of Aarhus. The proposal of UAC in this festival was to invite people to became part of the WallHands workshop, which was an experiment and a kick-start for the Clay Hands artwork. It consisted in to create hand prints from citizens in plaster and casting them in concrete; and then painting the result and putting it up on one of the columns of The Coal Bridge (Kulbroen).

In total 65 participants contributed to this art experiment and to create a collective mural. It is very important for us that citizens get involved in such art projects as they bring cohesion to the community and show that people enjoy being creative and taking part in artistic events.
